His manager should be taking a bit of flak for this too, I think dad see's the bright lights and good food in France and can't wait to the end of the year. Poor guy has a lot of potential but never found that spark again, that real aggression he had 4 years ago. Best of luck to him and I hope this one incident is just that... one.

Aw man is really disapointed in Luke McAlister, because this guy has Potential but with all the negative feedback from others he is also doubting himself. It's a shame he's wanting out to go over to France. If he had played for North Harbour and blocked out the negativity from the public he could most possibly prove to Graham Henry that he is worthy to wear a black jersey. Its just a shame that one little hicup with not being selected in the Tri-Nations has resulted in him moving to France. I hope he reconsiders his stay in NZ and fights for a spot in the All Blacks just like all those other players out there. If not then his loss.

McAllister was always overated. I'm not sure why the NZRFU ever offered him a contract after he came back from the UK.
Good riddance loser!

Wow. I hate to say it but NZ have a real Gavin Henson on their hands with this tool. I'm a Blues fan and I loved this kid when the Lions were in NZ but it makes one have to scratch their head wondering what on earth goes through his mind.

The NZRU went out on a limb to get McAlister bleeting about being home sick on his last tour up north. A mediocre player at best I hope the NZRU make an example of him.Lukes true colours have revealed a player who is only motivated by chasing the cash.He has been found wanting, the selectors have seen it.
A classic case of spitting the dummy - throwing the toys out of the cot. The North can have him, to put it plain & simple he's not good enough. New Zealand dont need him we have talent down here. One only hopes the NZRU dont come to the rescue a second round when he starts bleeting about being home sick....
If only he had a fraction of the legendary Buck Shelfords Mana playing for the sheer enjoyment and representing your country . Good Riddance Mc Alister & au revoir

Awwww poor baby McAlister. Doesn't want to play ITM cup becuase he didn't get an AB callup, so now it is time to throw his toys out of his pram and sulk.

if mcalister wants to become an even worse player then bugger off. he became a way worse player on return from the north like all of the players going there do, if he wants to kill his career not to mention AB career thats his choice, NZ have far more than enough world class midfield players.
