Back in the fold: De Malmanche
After some relative tranquility for this time of year, Planet Rugby is braced for bumper to bumper action that our Tipster is now ready to dissect.
On the horizon we have Six Nations joining the usual Super 14 showpiece while there is a full Top 14 fixture list adding to the LV= Cup up north.
Busy busy then but before we look forward to Friday, let us take a brief check over how our version of 'The Stig' fared over the past week.
He was on sound form once again would you believe thanks to his pick of the Cheetahs overcoming the Hurricanes coming good.
Hats off we say... however, his 'Worth a shot' of Connacht edging Glasgow both at the break and at full-time was foiled as the Magners League clash ended in a draw.
This coming week there is again plenty more for him to mull over, with the Calcutta Cup, Giuseppe Garibaldi Trophy and bragging rights between Ireland and Wales on the line. So will it all be over before the final week or is it to be a France v England showdown in Paris?
Super 14 action meanwhile has some tasty games and the Chiefs against Crusaders first up is arguably the pick of the bunch. Elsewhere and the Stormers tackle the Hurricanes while there is a Sunday fixture taking place between the Reds and Western Force.
Right, that is that covered now let us take a look at what Planet Rugby's version of 'The Stig' has for us using Sky Bet's plethora of rugby markets.
Banker of the week
There has been a slight split in PR HQ over the opening Round Five fixture in Hamilton. The majority say Crusaders should sneak it but I'm banking on the Chiefs coming right at home under the guidance of Brendon Leonard and Stephen Donald.
Yes the Super 14 giants have key duo Daniel Carter and Richie McCaw fit and ready, but they are without their key organiser at the base in Andy Ellis and with the battle up front set to be huge, I just fancy the power of Aled de Malmanche to tip the scales in the Chiefs' favour.
Get on the Chiefs @ 6/4 or if not their handicap of (+4) is a nice safety net!
Worth a shot
It is an impressive 100 for captain Brian O'Driscoll when Ireland run out against Wales.
His career has had some ups and downs over the years but if the script has been written well then this weekend he should get on the score-sheet at Croke Park on Saturday.
Have a go on BOD to cross first in Dublin @ 12/1!
Hail Mary
Usual format...all teams selected must triumph for the big payout!
Ireland, Scotland, France, Waratahs, Stormers, Bulls, Perpignan, Toulon
