Scrum-half Ruan Pienaar has been named in an extended 27-man squad announced by Ulster ahead of their Heineken Cup clash with Castres.
Head coach Mark Anscombe has included the South African international in his group for the meeting with the French at Ravenhill on Friday.
Lock forward Neil McComb and hooker Nigel Brady also return to the panel for the game.
Number eight Nick Williams is included in the squad despite having suffered a rib injury in the 25 points to nil success over Connacht. He is responding well to treatment and a decision on his fitness will be made later in the week.
Prop Declan Fitzpatrick aggravated a medial ligament injury in training last week and remains unavailable for selection while Australian-born flanker, Sean Doyle, suffered a broken leg playing for Dungannon on Saturday and will be out for up to six weeks.

Of course, Ruan has a great backline outside him at Ulster and has also a coach who knows his job. It does help..........

Perhaps Ulster could keep him so Meyer has to pick a real scrum-half to play for SA? Think of Danie Craven, Dawie de Villiers, Joost van der Westhuizen, Fourie du Preez (the 2007 version not the 2011 version) ---and then Pienaar---what a come-down.
