Confident: Simon Easterby

Scarlets head coach Simon Easterby believes his side "can be a match for anyone" in this season's Heineken Cup after beating Quins at the Stoop.

Their 33-26 win over the English side precedes a home game against Racing Metro, with Easterby saying the side now has plenty of confidence.

"I'd forgotten what winning in the Heineken Cup was like. It's been a while," he told Wales Online, having lost all six pool games last season.

"We have got over a hurdle in beating Quins, a bit of a mental block maybe after last season not winning a game.

"Now there's an opportunity for us to kick on and not fear anybody in this competition.

"Regardless of who Racing bring over here, we've got to get our own house in order.

"If we do that, like we did on the weekend, I think we can be a match for anyone."

Easterby will be hoping that Wales international fly-half Rhys Priestland shakes off a foot injury to start this week's game, having shone for the side in last Saturday's triumph.

"Rhys is borderline probably," revealed Easterby.

"He had a stamp on the foot last week, started to feel it sore as the game went on, and it's still at him a little bit this week.

"It would be a blow to lose him, because he is back to a level which reminded me of the Perpignan game out here a couple of years ago where he was the catalyst for some of those tries.

"He is comfortable with the way we are playing and he's keen to kick on.

"I thought that combination of himself, Scott Williams and Jon Davies worked pretty well and then you've got young Rhodri Williams inside him giving him some decent service as well.

"There is a good bit of continuity in those players."
