The Dragons have announced the signing of experienced prop forward Boris Stankovich, who will join them from Leicester at the end of 2013/14.
The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the men of Gwent and will link up with the region after spending seven years at the Tigers.
The New Zealand-born loosehead began his career as a hooker, playing at Bath and London Irish but was well established as a prop in his five years with Albi, before then moving to Leicester.
"We are delighted to have made such an experienced addition in Boris, who has been a member of a very impressive Leicester scrum," director of rugby Lyn Jones told the Dragons.
"He is going to bring vast knowledge and experience to the front-row department. Currently we are young and inexperienced. Boris' guidance and leadership within this department will be crucial in helping our growth, we are convinced we have signed the right man."
On joining the region, Stankovich said: "Firstly I would like to thank Richard Cockerill and the Leicester Tigers Rugby Club for their continued support over the past seven years.
"The opportunity to play in Wales at Newport Gwent Dragons under both Lyn Jones and Kingsley Jones is certainly one I am very much looking forward to.
"The Dragons are an ambitious club and the region as a whole has been an integral part to Welsh Rugby over the years. Something I will be proud of representing over the next two seasons."
