Munster will make history on Saturday if they defeat the Scarlets as they will become the first PRO12 side to claim a clean sweep over the Welsh regions.
No outfit has ever achieved an eight-win record over the four regions and coach Rob Penney admits the feat is something they're craving.
"It would be an amazing achievement," Penney told Munster's official website on Wednesday.
"But it will all come down to how the boys prepare and with the short turnaround and two away trips, it's a difficult week for us."
Munster have lost just two of their fifteen league games in 2013/14 while they have been beaten just once in the Heineken Cup under Penney.
But the New Zealander is wary of the Scarlets, who he believes possess a dangerous backline and powerful forward unit under Simon Easterby.
"Olly [Barkley] brings a wealth of experience to their inside backs combination he's a very talented player but they're a good side, there's no doubt about that and they'll be difficult over there," he added.
"They [the Scarlets forwards] are lively and they're very aggressive, it's something that we need to be really cognisant of and try to combat that because it's a big part of their game and they have destroyed a few packs."
