Again, look at the Leinster-Cardiff quarter-final! Watch the "mighty" Mike Ross entirely dominate Jenkins from start to finish! As I said earlier, he may not be the player he was 4 years ago!

@pog_mahone - Jones is indeed a tighhead. Didn't suggest he wasn't. Read hhlamazing's comment first as that is what I was responding to. You seem to forget that Gethin hasn't struggled against a lot of very well thought of props over many years. In fact he has generally been on top. Gethin is outstanding at club and country level - just a different league to Healy at both levels. You can't watch Gethin much if you think otherwise.

Thorn had a decent game and fits into the Leinster ethos so easily you'd think he's been playing with them for years...but Bonnaire really but his body on the line to the extent that he got a full accidental boot in the face and never even flinched his mind was so on not losing the ball...man of steel of the entire weekend in a game that was far tougher than it appeared

@jonesy2 - they are competitors but lets face it they aren't proven at Lions level. I've seen all those listed have more bad games than the welsh boys. Haven't you?

Generally agree with the picks except for O'Brien, and wondering what Welshman that Rob Kearney is "just" ahead of, he is in the best form of his life since coming back from injury. No-one in the NH comes near the guy - just hope he keeps it up.
makemehappy, I thought Adam Jones was a tighthead so Cian Healy wouldn't be evicting him. Cian Healy was superb on Sunday and at this stage brings far more than Gethin Jenkins at least to his club game. I don't agree that he was going backwards against Zirakashvilli (who is a force of nature, I can't imagine Gethin Jenkins standing up to him either), anyway it was actually Mike Ross who looked to be under more pressure expect for one scrum that I can remember where Healy missed his bind.

@hhlamazing - the loose is where Jenkins is the king amongst props. Just looked at the tackling and turnovers. Healy shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath in that category. Plus he can't scrummage that well.

@hhlamazing - great call on Corbisiero, I've been saying for ages how average he is. Compared to the likes of Nick Wood and Paul Doran-Jones who seem to scrummage better and get more done round the park he's very lucky to be in an England shirt. Saying that though I never rated Dan Cole, his work round the field is still awful but I think his scrummaging has improved quite a bit from regular international experience.
I'd definitely go with Gethin Jenkins over Healy, but as APV1 said it's early doors for picking Lions teams and maybe one more season could be a bit too much for him at that level. Healy is improving but he's not really a top level scrummager but I think that will come.

@DBRowan hmmm, I think if Alex Corbisiero played four international matches in a row, whilst carrying an injury, He'd be scrummaged back to Canada and then back to Italy!
The only thing that ruins Cian's scrum is, He always seems to have difficulty getting the bind, which kills his momentum.

@ jonesy2 - it's always fun having your comments, as they're so rediculous, as to be very amusing.
I think that hhlamazing has the right idea. Let's wait until after the next 6N before we start putting Lions Squads together...

Really!! Benn Robinson!! Now I know you are purely a wind-up merchant! Or did I miss an internationally dominant Australian scrum in the last 10 years! It's a miracle! I must have been in a coma!

makemehappy -- really? i would have thought the franks bros, dean greyling, benn robinson, ceonie oosthuizan, tony woodcock and sona taumalolo would do a good job at that for starters.

Have to say, not the best scrummaging display by Healy. Not sure he's 1st choice, or at least, not on his scrummaging.

@DBRowan
My friend, if you wish to criticize Healy for his performance in the scrum on Sunday, carry on. Personally I thought most of the trouble came from Faure getting the better of Ross all day-the same Mike Ross who had Gethin Jenkins in his pocket all day in the quarter-final. Look back at the game and consider a great prop may be ageing a bit!

Australia can't scrum we all know that. What Healy adds in the loose is why he is ahead on Genkins at present. Zirakashvilli is also one of the best tight-heads in the Top14 and generally destroys most loose-heads week in and out.
@DBRowan Healey was propping against Cole not Corbisiero both are loose heads and lets be honest Corbisiero is not great, misses a lot of tackles, not great around the park and average scummager. Think England are better off finding another soon.
The Lions loose-head shirt is a two horse race and still a year away. Let's see what happens up till the next 6 nations before we make any calls.

Cian Healy was still being sent backwards in the scrum by the Zirakashvilli and co the entire time he was on. He was decent in the loose, but still a liability at the scrum. Definitely not "just ahead of a welshman" in the Lions pecking order. Gethin Jenkins is a long way in front of anyone for the number one Lions shirt... And I think Alex Corbisiero would probably ask people to look at how Healy was eaten alive all game long against England as well.

Cian Healey ahead of a welshman in the Lions pecking order. Can't believe anyone would support that theory! Hard to evict either Adam or Gethin from a world XV and Gethin from an all time 15!

No mention for Sean O'Brien... had a very good game against Clermont!! and made that crucial turn over at the end.

Honourable mentions for Davit Zirakashvili and Sean O'Brien, but that looks the right selection from Adam.
