Ian Madigan: Provided all the points for Leinster

Leinster moved to the top of the PRO12 standings after seeing off previous tournament leaders Glasgow 22-17 at the RDS on Saturday.

Ian Madigan scored all of Leinster's points as they ended the Warriors' seven-match Pro12 winning streak.

Glasgow have enjoyed a remarkable run and came out full of confidence in the first period taking a 17-12 lead through tries by Ed Kalman and Peter Horne, with the rest coming through Duncan Weir's boot.

Madigan kicked four penalties before the break for the Irish province and then went over late in the second half to take them into the lead.

And the fly-half sealed their seventh league victory in a row with a three-pointer which took them to the top of the table.

Gregor Townsend's men went into the game in second place, after Ulster had taken a bonus-point from their 14-8 loss to Edinburgh, and the Scottish outfit started this match impressively.

Just 10 minutes had elapsed when Kalman powered over and Weir converted to give the visitors a 7-0 lead. Although Madigan reduced the arrears from the tee, Glasgow were in control and their stand-off restored that seven-point advantage with a penalty of his own.

Leinster's pivot was then on target again with the boot before Horne touched down for the away side's second try to take them 17-6 ahead.

However, the hosts gradually chipped away at the deficit and successive three-pointers from Madigan put Joe Schmidt's team back in contention at half-time.

The opening 20 minutes of the second period was almost exclusively Warriors' pressure, but they couldn't quite find that decisive score. And they paid for their profligacy when the Irish province's fly-half touched down before he kicked a penalty to secure the win.
