New Zealand fly-half Dan Carter is set to return to action in Saturday's Test against Argentina in Hamilton.
The 95-Test veteran missed the recent Rugby Championship Tests against the Wallabies, in Sydney and Auckland, due to a calf injury.
But All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said the 31-year-old looks as though he'll be fit at this stage.
Hansen had bad news regarding the fitness of two of his forwards, however. He revealed that Liam Messam and Owen Franks won't play this weekend.
Flanker Messam has been battling to overcome a hamstring injury, while prop Franks has a groin injury. Inside centre Ma'a Nonu has also been doubtful due to an ankle injury, but has not been ruled out at this stage.
