Jacques Botes has replaced Marcell Coetzee in the Sharks squad after the Springbok flanker suffered a tour-ending injury.
Coetzee will be flying home to have the shoulder injury - sustained in Friday's 2-16 win over the Rebels - repaired.
The news comes as a massive blow for the Super Rugby leaders for whom Coetzee has been outstanding this year.
Sharks comfortably ahead of the South African conference and have a five point gap on the Brumbies at the top of the overall table but face a tough Australasian tour schedule against the Brumbies, Crusaders and Blues over the next three weeks.
Sharks Director of Rugby Jake White admitted that injuries had disrupted his team in Melbourne but said he was "happy that we got the win, and now we can build on the rest of the tour."
"I hate singling out players because it's always a team effort. But Jean (Deysel) and Lwazi (Mvovo) did play very well, we saw how much we missed Jean's presence last week, and now we've seen the impact Jean and Bismarck have when they're back as senior players, it lifts the performance of everyone around them," White told the Sharls website.
