Tamjon ----- the bigwigs are mostly from Canterbury (Henry was born and bred there too) so recently they have dominated AB selectors and players too for that matter. Things move at glacial speed at head office - but you get the feeling the old order is changing in NZ rugby. Rennie, off to a great start but he needs more runs on the board anyway and NZ have some outstanding coaches in Europe as well.

Surely the bigwigs at NZRU are looking at this guy as a future All Blacks coach. His success rate with the Junior All Blacks was incredible, just seems to have the right ticker needed for it.

Isn't South Africa in Africa? Its the same as saying - the team went to Europe, but meaning specifically France or maybe Italy. Rennie is a rugby coach talking "off the cuff" not a diplomat.
