@alex_babbler

The booing of Kaplan or any ref in that way could never make me glad . It is a disgrace on that crowd and brings disgrace to this sport. Just as I was as a South African was appalled by that ref being takled by a crazy fan a few years ago and for threats being made against Bryce Lawrence last year , those Reds supporters should hang their head in shame as this is not what rugby is all about. Kaplan clearly had a reason for asking the question he did and if he got that wrong - so what - refs are getting things wrong every week because they are human. I am sure his performance will be reviewed and he will have to answer for his calls. At the end of the day the Sharks defence was awesome and they were rewarded for it - which is justice. I think the crazy thing is having refs from non -neutral contries officiating in such important games. It leaves them open to this kind of critisism - justified or not.

@alex_babbler, good name. Says it all. No need for me to set you straight. All the reasonable people here noticed that it was the Sharks that stopped a great Reds side from getting momentum.

Johnathan Kaplan, take a bow. You ruined that game. The Sharks were the better team but for the first 20 minutes of the second half you stopped the Reds getting any momentum and your poor wording to the TMO prevented them getting a deserved try. I am glad you got booed as you walked off the pitch. Now no Saffer can complain about Bryce Lawrence, you guys got your own back!

As a neutral, I have to hand it to the sharks who played the best rugby of the weekend in my opinion. Crusaders were good, but on the day I think the Sharks would have had the edge if they had played each other.

therein lies the dilemma. I want a SA side to win the competition, byt who would have the best shot at it?

Stormers have been playing consistent test match style rugby while the Sharks are the more dynamic team capable of extremes at both ends of the scale. The Sharks have however not shown the consistency that would allow anyone to believe that they can win 3 knockout matches on the road (and at the 3 furthest points on the S15 map) in a row. I think homeground advantage will make a massive difference in the final game and while the Sharks would stand a small chance of winning in the land of the long white cloud, the Stormers would be favourites in Cape Town.

So my colours declared, GO Stormers!

I'm not a huge SA club rugby fan but I'm putting money on Sharks reaching the final. They're star studded and their big players are having big games.

Dont know what Daniel means by heavy loss.

Anyway, we will have a Saffa team in the final. Now, I hope it is the Sharks. The style of rugby is better to watch, but the game is too close to call. But if the Stormers win then I will bring out my Stormers shirt for the final ( It's hidden somewhere, a 'gift' from a mate in Capetown, oh the shame of it) and shout for the enemy like a native of Newlands.

Go Sharks. And then - er, Go Sharks or Stormers.

The Sharks played a stormers defensive game and Cheetahs attacking game. Which is a perfect combination...

I don't think 15-12 is a heavy loss. I think next weekend is going to be a colossal match. Even with the travel issue, I'll still back the Black & White to take next weekend.
