Talent: Chris Feauai-Sautia

Uncapped Australian back Chris Feauai-Sautia has praised new Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie for his development so far.

Feauai-Sautia played under McKenzie for the Reds over the last two seasons and has now been selected in a large 40-man training squad ahead of The Rugby Championship next month.

The 19-year-old, regarded as a star of the future and renowned for his power and pace, is now set to make the next step up and play Test rugby.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to getting into camp and training hard," said Feauai-Sautia to the Reds website.

"Link (McKenzie) has been one of the key factors in my development, it's been great to play under him at the Reds.

"He really understands the way I play and brings the best out of my game, to have him again at the Wallabies will be great."

Feauai-Sautia's coach at club level, Souths boss Michael Broad, is one of many who are excited by what the rising star can go on to achieve on the international stage, backing him to succeed.

"I think Chris's selection is a wonderful reward for a player who has enormous talent," said Broad.

"I think that by selecting him, the selectors are looking towards the future of the Wallabies and Chris has a major role to play in that.

"As an impact player he creates a wonderful brand of Rugby for the rest of the team to work off, and all the team is excited to play with him whenever he comes back."
