@trinats, just trying to be helpful (and provoke a bit of banter) I think Cooper is a very exciting player: everytime he plays the opposition get lots of chances to stand up and cheer. We all hope to see him in yellow in the 4N. Btw, anybody watching from Shanghai this weekend? O'Malleys?

Well I guess Deans does need another 5/8 option in a few weeks & it is only half a game v Lions (tip Morahan on at the break, Lucas to 5/8).

@ new_j4a says... baby steps are best.

Noises coming out of Sydney that his manager, despite not having accreditation, is shopping him around the NRL - don't understand who would sign him as contact & tackling are pretty much compulsary in league - so his Reds return may be short-lived even if Higginbotham does go to the Rebels & free up some of the $4.1M salary cap...

They say he is a new and changed man who is determined to take at least one contact this season and next season step it up to try a tackle....and to all kiwi fans, would you all please stop spitting on him? Its making him even more slippery on attack. I assume that the CCTV will need to be turned back on in the Red's changing room?

I was really hoping he wouldn't be better in time for the Scotland test...

Interesting to see that the Australian has announced that Scott Higginbotham has signed for the Rebels. As fun as Cooper is to watch I think I'd prefer to keep Higgers in my squad. There could be another backflip in waiting but that's gotta be hugely disruptive for the Reds.

Good to see him finally back playing rugby ,wonder if his really 100% or being rushed a little as Australa badly need a recognised fly-half for the summer tests .Anyway i hope he is 100% myself

"There's no denying Quade has enormous x-factor but for him this match is about getting back out on the field and getting comfortable again within the match-day environment,"

I'm not expecting fireworks, but then again it is Cooperman !
