The Waratahs will not underestimate the Kings when they face the tournament newcomers in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The Waratahs will not underestimate the Kings when they face the tournament newcomers in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

That is the word from Waratahs number eight Wycliff Palu who said the Sydneysiders will not be fooled by the Kings' position on the table.

The Kings are second from bottom in the standings and have lost six of their nine matches. They have, however, done well against Australian teams, beating the Western Force and Rebels and secured a deserved draw against the high-riding Brumbies.

"I think it's quite hard when you play a team you've never played against," Palu told AAP.

"It's probably a lot harder than a lot of other teams that you always play against, you don't know what to expect."

The Waratahs have struggled on their travels in recent years. They have suffered 12 straight defeats overseas and lost their past eight matches in South Africa.

Palu,is just one of three Waratahs in the current squad who started in their last win in South Africa four years ago.

When asked which area of their game needs to improve if they want to end their losing streak, the 30-year-old Wallaby replied: "I think executing.

"The guys with the experience stepping up and that's including myself.

"A lot of the other guys that have been around for a number of years, them stepping up, and just being really clinical in their role in the team.

"Everyone else that is younger and that has been here for the first time will follow through and get some encouragement from seeing the experienced guys lead."
