Hurricanes duo Dane Cole and Jeremy Thrush will be given all week to prove their fitness after leaving the field with injuries against the Kings.
Both could still face the Waratahs on Saturday, after being cleared of any breakages following last weekend's 46-30 victory in Wellington.
Hurricanes hooker Cole left the pitch with an injured thumb, while lock Thrush was helped off in the last few minutes of the match after picking up an ankle injury.
"From what I've heard, just briefly talking to them, they're not as bad as they thought first up," said centre Tim Bateman.
"They say it's going to have to be Thursday, Friday until we know."
