Don't know how a move to Scarlets can work as he's re-signed for Taranaki province in ITM Cup for 2012 and 2013, 10-week season Aug-Oct. Can that work?
Anyway - buy that man a beer!
What's JE doing in the 3 week Super break (while tests played)?
"I'm actually hoping to get back and play one game for Stratford."
Stratford, central rural Taranaki, population 5200 'in the shadow of the mountain'.
Way to go!

maybe a victim of his versatility, can be a handy no.6, very fast/mobile for over 2m tall/115kg; he was player of the year for Taranaki in ITM Cup last year and played every match (captain as well), did no wrong yet not on AB selectors books. A very good signing imo, he's well-recovered from earlier injuries, but for that first major one (leg or knee?) he could have become a long-term AB.
One note - he played for ABs before he played at Super rugby level, thank Graham Henry the talent spotter for that.
And he once had the best beard ever seen in NZ rugby.

Too bad injury and egregious misuse cut short his AB career. Remember Graham Henry trying to make him an openside flank? Also too bad for the Welsh region that they don't have the depth to replace their own losses.
