It is always great to read different opinions regarding our wonderful game. However, I do not think that any of the SH giants will be "absolutely munted" by the tourists as APV1 has suggested. Whilst it is great to dream.... that is what is happening on this occasion..... realistically Wales should win one (two?) of their matches with the Wallabies.... England could also sneak a win.... and Ireland again have nothing to lose and all to gain in their three matches in New Zealand. The All Blacks will be at a "low point" in terms of losing key personnel.... but I still think that the team that they put on the pitch will dominate Ireland at the scrummage and through the rest of the match. Ireland have never beaten New Zealand in a rugby test match.... and it is not likely to happen this time either. I may be wrong.... it would certainly cap off a very fine career for BoD to beat the All Blacks whilst wearing the emerald green of Ireland.

Rocky 15, you rightly point to the fact that the BOKKE and Wallabies have been inconsistent on their recent Northern Hemisphere tours. In particular, Ireland has performed well against both teams [Ireland of course out thinking and out muscling the Wallabies in that wonderful match in the RWC.] However, I do think that NH teams travelling to the SH for the usual June / July matches will still under perform. The Australian Super 15 teams are not playing spectacularly well but Wales are likely to be missing at least three key players [Warburton, Roberts & Davies] not too mention Boyo Gatland [also injured] might not trouble them as much as we initially thought they would. I still think that Wales will win one of the three matches - after all the first test match will be played less than a week after the Wallabies are due to play a one off test against Scotland.

APV1, stop tormenting these poor souls. They cannot spot a good-natured windup.

AVP1 I have read posts of yours on this site that have been intelligent and well thought out. However, this one?? Is that sarcasm to its fullest extent??

There is a glaring omission, I know it's not fair for the rest of the Super 15 franchise #8s but Keiran Read should be penciled in every week.

@rocky15,

Perhaps so, however very few of those games (if any) was played south of the equator.

NH teams playing in SH - I'd say 90% of the time SH teams will win. SH teams playing in the NH - maybe 70% of the time SH teams will win.

End of.

APV1 - nice troll... you hit all the important parts... 'stupidity', 'anonymity', 'detachment from reality'.... Essentially an idiot-post.

SH teams will win all the up-coming series with relative ease; despite having almost no prep time; will have squads full of injuries; and will face NH squads still sharp from the the 6ns.... these things still won't be enough for NH victories.

I do predict a lack of 'Blackwash' series though

Rocky15 - good points, but remember that you have to look at where the games were played and when. I think that there will be many close games for a number of reasons: pre-tournament warm up, beginning of National teams, SA brand new coach/team etc. ~Most people are presuming that England will run SA close or win and that Wales will beat Australia, there is a fair chance of this, but I wouldn't underestimate the Aussies or SA in their back yards - it won't be quite the same as a November test in Europe. I'm just looking forward to some good rugby. I'm not mentioning the ABs - who would bet against them?

@APV1, the word "munt" is considered a racially charged insult in some parts of Africa, sort of like the word "coconut" in some parts of Oceana....really, I wouldn't make this up. BUT we know you used it in ignorance, and we're a forgiving bunch in Southern Africa, so we will politely point it out and move on with no stone thrown nor any stain claimed on your character....(jeez, there is a God....you couldn't make this up in a work of fiction)

Okay I'm not sure what APV1 is even talking about so its is fair to say we should ignore him for the most part.

But I don't think the national sides from South Africa or Australia are as dominant over the NH as some might suggest. If you look at the recent results of someone like Ireland who have been pretty up and down over the last 6 years you'll see its pretty even between them and their SH counterparts.

Ireland played SA 3 times, won 2 times; Ireland played Australia 5 times, 2 wins 1 draw. Its the same with Wales and England, if you exclude a few cricket score wins by SA over England, there has rarely been more than 7 points between the teams. Now I'm sure some idiot will go back and open a history books from the 1700's and tell me how the SH were dominant, but thats irrelevant and if you do so you're retarded.

Oh and I excluded NZ from my argument because its fair to say their a class above and will give Ireland 3 hammerings in a few weeks time.

I was really excited to see new faces in the 6N with retirements, new coaches and young players coming through and I'm getting that buzz again now thinking about watching the SH sides in a few weeks. Shame Goosen is out, he looks like a real star and I'm sure if teams were to lose to South Africa they would rather it be through some genuine class than Morne Steyn strangling them for the safety of his tee.

Hahaha... APV1 u must be high, stoned, drunk and delirious if you think we in the SH do more than see you NH pansies as nothing more than an entertaining trot around the paddock before the 'real' games begin. With the exception of the frogs we always know what to get from you lot - long may you continue to wallow in your own mediocrity.

APV1 - are you sober? (Not sure what munted is - from an African view, this could be more insulting than you think.) I can't wait to see the dazzling highly skilled NH teams show us a thing or two. Our SH rejects, oldies and money tourists are the only excitement in the NH.

It's very easy just to copy and paste my previous comment from last week's thread:

"Mediocrity personified. Not a single talented player south of Quito has ever played rugny and, frankly, I don't know why you bother.

I can't wait for "the big three" to get absoultely munted by the tourists in a few weeks. "Big three"?! Ha!

I bet you SH fans are quaking in your boots!"
