@APV1 I also thought like you that I had to respond to his outrageous accusations. However I have come to the realisation that he is either the greatest troll on this site or in his own blind way has convinced himself what he says is correct. There is an old saying that if you say something often enough you actually end up believing it. Boy does this guy repeat himself over and over to the extent it becomes offensive spam. So man its a lost cause have faith in the people on this site who I believe have decided not to encourage his rantings and give him even more of a forum. Rather than being sucked into his conspiracy theories and argue against him I have decided to ignore the rants and suggest you do the same as he doesn't represent the true Saffa fans.

@APV1
I know what you mean. But is he genuine? I think not.
If he is, then putting him in his place is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel, isn't it.
I propose that we advise anyone who takes up cudgels with BokAvenger not to bother. Tell any new arrival who does so that we are ignoring BA, and why.
Btw, I have been reading the Jungle Book, and have taken my inspiration from Baloo and Bagheera and their attitude towards the monkeys.

Those emails do suggest they were trying to kick SA out for being too useless and that was 13 years ago.. such foresight. Maybe they saw the 53-3 on the way :)

And while you are at it defend gouging as a legitimate action on a rugby field? If you can!
Because gouging isn't tough, hard or manly! It is a cowards trick!

@ sandal - do I have to ignore him? Really? He's such a berk that he needs educating. Some of his nonsense may be read by a new visitor to the site and they may actually think he has a point. So our replies might actually save an innocent from becoming tainted.
Or should I just put him down to being a lost cause and wait for the aliens to beam him up?

@ruckingkiwi - you keep referring to the emails being some sort of conspiracy theory...then please explain why it is reported right here by the NZ Herald?

@ ruckingkiwi - I'd not read that from CK, about the 53 - 3 stuffing we gave them. It was obvious to all that the Saffas had lost the plot by their actions and lack of rugby, but the extract from his book makes interesting reading.
What makes it worse is that he still tries to blame the British Press and the "English arrogance", rather then his lack of self-control. It just shows a complete lack of humility and remorse:
"I'm sorry I did it, but it wasn't my fault."
I'm certainly not suggesting that the England Team of that era didn't have a swagger and a self-confidence, verging on arrogance (well, I'm not likely to say they WERE arrogant, am I?!), but that's what comes of being the best in the world. We were beating all-comers every which way, anywhere in the world. And with that comes self-belief and confidence.

@Jonesy: "the wallabies are a superior side to the springboks, basically always have been"
Really? Then please explain why in the 74 times the Boks and Wallabies have met, the Boks have won 41 times and lost 32 times with one game drawn - a win ratio of 56.08%. In fact, the Boks have the 2nd best record in international rugby after NZ and until 1996 the Boks actually had a superior win-loss record against the All Blacks.
It's common knowledge that after the international acclaim the Boks received after beating the ABs in the 1995 final that the IRB decided it didn't want a bunch of alleged "white racists" representing its sport and so deliberately set out to systematically undermine the Boks in international rugby. That's why SA players routinely get targeted by refs and citing officials while their suspensions are also much worse than anyone elses. Just look at the Haskell affair vs Butch James. Haskell gets 3 wks for repeated punching that forced the victim to leave the field and potentially cost the Cheetahs the game. James committed a high tackle and gets 5 wks. Pathetic! Look at how Bakkies Botha was targeted by the IRB in the Lions series. They even changed the rucking rules to blunt his physicality after he dislocated Adam Jones shoulder (although I must commend Adam Jones for stating that there was nothing wrong with Bakkies' challenge).

John Smith landed squarely on his back, no spear to it so stop being a sook.
Hard case you have to go back 50+ years and pull out the Skinner example. In those days it was either going to be us or you guys and we had the tougher guy, end of story.
Keen to see some of those conspiracy emails you're talking about too..
Still laughing you actually think NZ were more worried about SA in that quarter final, you'd barely won a 3N game in 2 years, lost to Scotland, Leicester, Saracens, barely beat Samoa, lost to Wales except for Barnes saving you...
I actually think those conspiracy emails were saying let's kick the Saffas out of the 3N for being too useless haha..
Ok boksooky, I had my giggle and now I'm going to ignore you too.

@Ruckingkiwi: The Kiwi delusions continue. Nothing in Thorne's tackle? - well there must be something in the NZ water that messes up the population's eyesight...or their brains. It was a blatant spear tackle. Go look at it on youtube. If Bakkies Bothat had done that to Saint Richie McCaw he would have been lynched on live television by the crowd.
@fiwiboy - Neutral referees. HA HA HA HA!! That kiwi line always give me fits. Like the Boks had neutral referees when we toured there! Please, Danie Craven almost sent the Boks home mid-tour back in the day because of the refereeing bias in NZ. Go and read up on Kevin Skinner and how the ABs picked a heavyweight boxing champ at prop because you were getting scrummed to pieces. NZ resorted to thuggery to save their scrum. Yes, that's the world-renowned kiwi sportmanship you lot always refer to. And we all know about the NZ referees getting caught sending emails to each other about how they were going to "get the japies" . Neutral refereeing indeed.
@brands - "you just got owned". My god, how old are you? Does your mom know you're wasting her bandwidth?

sandal-- good idea.
just one last thing to BoktheBoernutjob- ive noticed one of your brilliant conspiracy theories is about bryce lawrence paving the way for australia to play the AB in the semi final. now, my understanding is that not only would AB knock the spingboks senseless in the semi, the final or any other circumstance, but the wallabies are a superior side to the springboks, basically always have been, not always, but mostly and not by as much as NZ are superior to the boks, but still. now, that seems to condemn your theory to something laughable and very puzzling.

Guys, let's make a pact.
Let's ignore BokAvenger. Let's not respond to him, let's not even read him.
I know he makes us laugh, but he can also be annoying.
It seems that PR isn't going to ban him. So let's send him to Coventry.
When everyone ignores him, he'll just go away.

Still crying up a storm Bokwhinger! Everyone knows NZ were more worried about Australia than South Africa.
I agree, Paul Honiss in 2004 was a tough call but there wasn't much in Thorn's tackle, hardly an act of skullduggery which you make out. As for the England game, there's a good extract from Corne Krige book about how he deliberately set out to injure England players during the 53-3 hiding.. google "Corne Krige sent off". And you wonder why SA gets bad press.
Funny you never see them actually stand up and fight like men and throw a few punches, they mainly dish out cheap shots and low blows which forces the opposition into retaliating. Jannie DuPlessis is a prime example, cheap shot then ran off.

BokAvenger, at least Bryce Lawrence knows a (blatant) knock on when he sees one! Or, as a TMO, he at least knows that he can't make a call on the leadup to a try! (Don't even get me started on that try that was disallowed in the Crusaders-Bulls game).
I'm not saying Kiwi refs are any better than refs from other countries (but I like the look of Glenn Jackson) but I find your outrage amusing considering that South Africa allowed lifting in the lineouts 20-30 years BEFORE it became legal.
A major reason why SA was so hard to tour in the bad old days was because of the sheer bias of local refs. It's worth noting that the Boks' win record has fallen since neutral refs started to control their Tests. Gee, wonder why?

Bokavenger: great stuff. You're hillarious. "Innocuous tackle on Wilkinson" gave it away. You're an England fan. It was 53-3 that day right?
Never saw a top team capitulate like it in terms of turning to violence under the cosh.

ha ha you just got OWNED!! nice work Ramage, but alas due to the medication berkavenger is currently taking he will have forgotten all this by tomorrow morning, must feel horrible getting dissed by your own countrymen? its fair enough to have passion and respect for your team, and SA are respected for sure, but to have some berk puke nonsense such as this is worrying, infact so much so that somebody should perhaps warn his/hers/its neighbors?

@ BokAvenger - I'm sure you are a barrel of laughs in your local pub; a real hoot at a brai and the darling of the local rugby club.
But, I'm sorry to say, on this site you are considered a bit of a berk. Your conspiricy theories are rediculous and your claims of corruption based on nothing but your own deluded rants.
I suspect you sleep with a metal colandar on your head, to stop the Evil Kiwis reading your mind.
