Indeed but it's the jersey that counts as with a lot of others plying for the successful franchise. They both could have played for Otago after all. I in fact was born in Dunedin but am without doubt a Cantab through & through. Enjoyed watching the schools battles between OBHS & SBHS each year late 80's early 90's.

Taylor scored all the points against the Stormers so perhaps the rustiness lay with Carter at 12. Crotty will add a different dimension & they both play 10 & 12 together in ITM of course.

I'm very happy to see Ritchie @ 8 as it allows Todd to play full stop. This will bring a massive boost of confidence to the team. I'm also quietly pleased Marshall isn't playing I much prefer Maitland as his experience is vital.

Agree two full strength teams would be a wicked game to see. Both could match many a top 8 international side for pace, strength & overall enjoyment???

Two cantab talismen, Wyatt Crockett and Richie McCaw. Fair enough, but both were educated in Dunedin at Otago Boys High School. That's where to go if you want to become a super rugby player.

Crusaders looked a much better team once Carter returned to fly half. Without him and Read (I don't think Dagg will be missed too much), I think they've picked the wrong week to be missing as the Hurricanes have shown plenty of ability to score tries.

Should make for an interesting game, but I was really hoping to see a full strength Crusaders against a full strength Hurricanes - would have had some great matchups!

Well done Wyatt - a cantab talisman to the core.

Team looks well balanced in fact. Plenty of experience across the park. Perhaps my earlier rant was illconceived - hope so
