I was surprised Saili didn't get a card too. Fitzgerald will see the season out in the stands you would think. Rennie takes a dim view of letting the side down through ill discipline. There were a lot of young and inexperienced players on both sides.

I hope something is done about Fitzpartrick as well. I fully support the Chiefs but this bloke almost lost them the game with the Blues getting 2 tries while he was out.

I reckon he barked up the wrong tree though because Saili got in a good one haha

@three6three6 I entirely agree with you. Unfortunately a lot of the blame has to be put on the coaches who will have probably being saying "tackle at all costs whether legal or illegal" I remeber watching a game at Twickenham (1970?) between the Springboks & England, there were no 'tip tackles' or anything getting towards that sort of thing. ALL tacckles were made mid-riff or down. I saw a superb match

When will professional rugby union players stop this silly behaviour? The rules are clear are very clear about tackles where the ball carrier is lifted off the ground.... the responsibility for safely lowering the ball carrier remain with the person(s) making the tackle....
