Bulls duo Dean Greyling and Zane Kirchner will have fitness tests on Wednesday before a call is made on their availability to face the Cheetahs.
Kirchner had recovered from a finger operation, the franchise confirmed, but was still suffering tenderness following the removal of a screw.
Greyling limped off the field during Saturday's 18-16 win over the Sharks in Durban and therefore is a doubt for this weekend's match in Bloemfontein.
Dewald Potgieter, Akona Ndungane and Louis Fouche would also only train on Wednesday.
The Bulls said Flip van der Merwe and Juandre Kruger had not trained with the Springboks at the national camp in Durban, due to niggles, but would remain with the squad until Tuesday, when all the players returned to their franchises.
