I am amazed at the venom poured on Olivier. He didnt pick himself for the Boks or Bulls and is a decent provincial player. Good luck to him if he can make a few yen in Japan.

@leebok: If someone gave me the opportunity I'd give it a go. Olivier playing club rugby in Japan? Why couldn't it have been North Korea instead.

All a bit harsh lads. I agree he is not Springbok quality but he has made a decent career (salary wise) as a pro rugby player in the toughest of places which none of us could ever do.

About time.He is the weakest link in a rubbish Bulls team. Please take Ndungane, Spies, Kirchner, van der Merwe and the two Potgieters with you

What do Japanese Clubs get out of the growing number of foreign players arriving there in recent years ?
I wasn't aware Japanese Clubs were so wealthy !?
Wonder how it will put the squeeze on emerging Japanese players in these clubs ?

I wouldn't call Olivier 'high profile' but there is obviously some money to be made, for him and the bulls.
Hopefully now, one of our younger lads will step up to the plate and take over.
Maybe Pollard, he would make a fine 12...

wat is with this new high-profile player movement to Japan. Before it was confined to mostly Fijian players. I hope it helps Japanese rugby for real.
