Award-winner: George Smith

George Smith ended his Super Rugby season on a high as he bagged the Brumbies' Player's Player of the Year award on Saturday.

While the Brumbies just missed out on Super Rugby glory, Smith excelled throughout their campaign after making a surprise return to the competition from Japanese club Suntory Sungoliath.

The 33-year-old won the Brett Robinson Player's Player award for the 10th time, despite missing out on the Brumbies first five matches.

Skipper Ben Mowen was named the Brumbies' best forward and fellow Wallaby Christian Lealiifano was named the best back for the second year on the trot. Centre Tevita Kuridrani won the Shawn Mackay Award for best newcomer.
