Brumbies back Christian Lealiifano has hailed the experience of playing against the British and Irish Lions as key to his progression.
Lealiifano made his Test debut in the three-match series against the touring side, with Australia ultimately going down 2-1 after losing the third Test in Sydney.
Despite being knocked out of the first Test in the opening minutes, Lealiifano went on to kick the winning points in the second Test in Melbourne - proving to himself that he could handle the pressure on the biggest stage.
Now ahead of the playoffs, when the Brumbies will face the Cheetahs this Sunday, Lealiifano is delighted to be back within the group but stated his side are unhappy following their 21-15 loss against the Western Force last weekend.
"Playing at Test level really helped me just with piece of mind, knowing that I can cope at that kind of level, so it definitely gives me a little bit of help going into finals footy on Sunday," said Lealiifano.
"It was very exciting to be a part of the whole thing and coming back (to the Brumbies) now I'm just trying to bring a bit of that experience and knowledge back.
"This group definitely bounces back from a loss so we're looking to do that on Sunday and play some good footy.
"We're not satisfied with how we are at the moment and hopefully we can bounce back.
"We're hoping that everything just clicks for us. We've worked too hard for it not to.
"We're obviously very disappointed about last Saturday but we're just going to put everything in towards Sunday and hopefully everything does pay off for us."
