On CURRENT form, 1: Gill, 2: Hooper, 3: Pocock 4:Todd. Then there is 50 foot of crap and then McCaw.

McCaw was a great player to watch (sometimes frustrating as an Aussie, as he cheats, but if he was an Aussie I'd turn a blind eye!!) at present he looks slow and out of shape.

As a rugby fan, I hope he gets back to his best.

Apologies, I was wrong, along with millions if not billions of rugby followers worldwide. You and about 3 million kiwis are right.

The many many you tube clips about McCaw cheating, although show the truth are "unwarranted attacks" on not just a "fine" rugby player but a great rugby player.

Again, refs should watch the play and not the players and the game would follow a lot better (and fairer)

@missionary Regarding your comment about K road been there done that. Was it you who used to stop and speak to me and try to save me. Sorry to say it was a lost cause.

No Trinuts Your constant non stop attacks on a fine rugby player constantly calling him a cheat was the thing that was unwarranted. I don't attack the players with such over the top comments because I for one am impressed with the majority of players who are playing at this level. As usual when challenged you duck and dive and twist words. Yes there is one set of laws and he is penalised for overstepping the mark. The fact he isn't penalised that often is not my so called blindness but your lack of appreciation of the laws. McCaw knows them, the refs know them the only problem is you don't Hence the low blow comments you continually make about him. Perhaps I should also adopt your way of casting aspersions by constantly running down your own country's flankers who go out and pilfer the ball and see how you like reading unwarranted attacks on those you support. No I appreciate good play and don't believe either he or the refs are cheats or your other favourite word dodgy. They all do a job out there and do their best even if some from a certain country have trouble reading numbers.

@ Ramage

Missionary is right. Don't rise to Trinats' bait. Place him in the same basket as BokAvenger.

In your own words "Much of which was quite unwarranted" I totally agree a fine player McCaw is. However "MUCH" is a % and that could be 70%, so McCaw cheats 30% and gets away with it.

"If they overstep the mark I will expect them to be picked up but understand that at times they are too good to be picked up as they are within the laws as is Richie McCaw"

Just goes to show how blinded you are by the McCaw factor. ""If they overstep the mark I will expect them to be picked up" and in the same sentance "within the laws as is Richie McCaw" So does he have different rules ???

I wonder whether both of them will be given the same biased name calling we heard from Trinuts that he constantly leveled at Richie McCaw . Much of which was quite unwarranted and filthy slander. Of course we won't because both these young men are Australians as is Trinuts and the most heinous crime of any OZ is to be UnAustralian. Another way you bully people to stay in line. I know I enjoy all good rugby players who have skills no matter where they come from and only being an average Rugby player in my day admire any player with skill. So I look forward to the clash and I expect them to push the limits. If they overstep the mark I will expect them to be picked up but understand that at times they are too good to be picked up as they are within the laws as is Richie McCaw. However I won't stoop to the level of inane name calling as leveled by Trinuts against one of the finest loose forwards in the world.

I don't think its a conspiracy. Morahan was also given a light sentence. It seems that the SANZAR judiciary has been told to not be so stupidly officious at some point after Diggers was sentenced

Glad Hooper got off - looking forward to the contest between the 2nd & 3rd best 7's in Australia. Pocock is still the man given how well he always does against top competition in a crap team. Hooper will be pushing Pocock hard perhaps for top spot in the EOYT for the starting position if he continues to improve though.

Yes a good result and one of common sense I agree, however, very inconsistent.

Funny how Ioane get 5 weeks for a similar offence. Reds (S15 Champs) going well and a 5 weeks for Ioane, now Reds going well again, NO suspension for Hooper !!! If it was a Reds player......5 weeks + no doubt.

Great to see Hooper get off, now we can look forward to a battle of the two best 7's in the world.

It's a great result, along with the Morahan decision. Pity SANZAR couldn't bring itself to show similar restraint for Digby.

A good result and I believe one of common sense. Now we can look forward to a battle for supremacy between two up and coming fetchers. I for one will be watching the battle with great interest.
