first one wasnt his fault at all, just unlucky. the second was an error. id be interested to know if the player he was offloading to (ashton?) had called for the pass. i was taught as a limited skill forward to only pass the ball if someone calls for it (unless a move)

Foden is a great player and a consistent performer. He made a couple of mistakes but that's rugby! I must admit though I do think mike Brown deserves a chance but putting him now would be viewed as a dropping which wouldn't be the right message to send. Oddly I think Browns best chance to play will be after Foden has a good game and can be rested.

True he forced the second a bit and it's good he's open enough to come out and take responsibility for it, he's at the top of his game still and one bad decision cost us a soft try...could have happened to anyone, as for the first one? Not even remotely his fault, it was fantastic that he had the angle covered but at that range and with a ricochet like that there was nothing he could have done...

Called it at the time, I think that the intercepted pass was a player trying to try too hard to make amends for his perceived first error. For all the faffage that went on for the first try there was nothing that Foden could have done about it. Farrell was probably most culpable for trying to put boot to a ball that was too far away from him.
First rule, if you can control it - own it, if you can't control it - leave it alone.

I respect his honestly.
But I don't really think he could deny it. The first try was a difficult ricochet which could have happened to anyone. The second was a gift. Sometimes players need to think about if they should off load or not, because that's what can happen when it goes wrong.
Foden is a class act and these mistakes were out of character for him. He has acknowledged it and will ounce back.
