Leicester Tigers fly-half Ryan Lamb is set to join struggling Premiership outfit Worcester next week to help save their season.

Worcester are currently 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table having not won a single league game so far.

Reports of Lamb's move circulated on Wednesday, but both Worcester News and the Leicester Mercury have now reported that Lamb is on his way to Sixways after Worcester play Leicester this Friday.

Lamb had a year to run on his contract at Welford Road, but with Toby Flood not required by England during the Six Nations and Owen Williams in reserve, Lamb's services are not required by the reigning English champions.

Worcester will be the 27-year-old's fifth Premiership club after stints with Gloucester, London Irish and Northampton.

The move will also see Lamb reunited with Dean Ryan from their time at Kingsholm.
