Three-week ban: Stankovich

Leicester prop Boris Stankovich has been suspended for three weeks after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle by an RFU Disciplinary Hearing.

The Tigers loosehead was sent off for an alleged dangerous tackle on London Irish scrum-half Darren Allinson contrary to Law 10.4 (e) in the LV= Cup match between the sides on November 18 and was later cited for allegedly stamping or trampling on Alex Corbisiero in the same match.

Stankovich pleaded guilty to both counts and the offences were considered together in the totality of the suspension. He is banned from November 21 to December 11 and can return on December 12.

Meanwhile, Worcester Warriors flanker Jake Abbott has been suspended for two weeks after being found guilty to the charge of a dangerous tackle contrary to Law 10.4 (e) on Kieran Murphy (Scarlets) in the LV= Cup match between the sides on November 10 following a report from the citing officer Mike Rafter.

He is banned from November 21 to December 4 and can play again on December 5.

Both cases were heard by a panel of His Honour Judge Sean Enright (chair), Antony Davies and John Brennan at the Holiday Inn Coventry M6 Jct 2.
