Injury worry: Andy Powell
Sale are sweating over the fitness of Wales international Andy Powell after the number eight suffered a potential broken cheekbone at Exeter Chiefs.
Following their 43-6 demolition at Sandy Park on Saturday, it seems the loss is set to go from bad to worse as Sale await Powell's X-ray results.
If it does emerge that the powerful ball-carrier has broken his cheekbone, the expected period out on the sidelines is up to seven weeks.
"There are issues for us in that Andy bashed his cheek at the weekend," Redpath told the Manchester Evening News on Monday.
"Unfortunately, we are waiting on results from some X-rays to see whether he has got a fracture.
"Powelly played on for the whole game on Saturday with a potential broken cheek which says everything about his character. If it's not a displaced fracture then he can play on. He did damage his cheek and we're hoping it's not broken badly but we need to wait and see what the results are."
