Masi is a quality signing. I agree with Kawasakifreak that he could well be regarded as on of Italy's best ever backs. Shame they didn't have him playing in the centre a bit more and not stuck on the wing but he performed well at fullback so not wasted there.

One of Italy's best ever backs ?

Masi winning the 2011 6N Player of the tournament came as no surprise to me.

His experience, abrasiveness in defence & general work-ethic can only be an asset for the Wasps back line.

Very good signing.

He'll be a real value only if not compelled to play every game.

His best days are past and gone and, unfortunately, he tends to get injured pretty often.

But when he has a good day, then....

Another interesting signing.

Looks like the starting XV is going to be mighty different this season.

There seems to be a nice mix of grunt and glamour and a good blend of experience and yourth.

It might take half a season to blend so many new arrivals together but it can't be worse than last season!
