Former Leicester, Leeds, Sale and Dragons back Andy Tuilagi is currently on trial at Aviva Premiership side London Irish.
The Exiles have brought in the 27-year-old Samoa international along with USA U20 captain Tom Bliss to train with the squad ahead of the new season.
Tuilagi, one of the famous five brothers including former Leicester winger Alesana and England international Manu, has been without a club after being released by the Dragons at the end of last season.
Tuilagi was initially named in London Irish's side to face Nottingham this Saturday in a pre-season friendly, but was then left off a revised team-sheet issued an hour later, with Irish duo Eamonn Sheridan and Ian Cross instead playing in midfield.
Several new signings will make their debuts for Irish, including forwards Jonny Harris, Nic Rouse and Blair Cowan, along with backs Myles Dorrian, Andrew Fenby, Sheridan, Alex Lewington and Fergus Mulchrone. Declan Danaher captains the side.
