Clermont's unbeaten home record may have stretched to 74 games, but Leicester captain Ed Slater is confident of a victory on Saturday.

Clermont's unbeaten record at the Stade Marcel Michelin may have stretched to 74 games, but Leicester captain Ed Slater is confident.

The Tigers picked up a notable scalp by winning at Franklin's Gardens last week against Northampton Saints.

Now travelling to Clermont in the last eight, Slater insists that Leicester are not travelling to France as huge outsiders and have everything to play for.

"Everybody's been talking about their record and how long it's been going for. The players are aware of it," said Slater.

"The win itself will be huge because it's the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup. That's the biggest incentive - you can't get too wrapped up in that home record.

"I wouldn't say we've got nothing to lose going over there and there's no pressure. We have everything to play for.

"Winning at Franklin's Gardens was a massive boost for us considering some of the setbacks we've faced this season.

"Northampton was a massive challenge because they hadn't lost at home in the Premiership all season.

"To come out of that with a good result and good performance....we deserved the win and it's something we can take into Clermont."
