Leicester Tigers say there is still no date for a return to action for injured full-back Mathew Tait.
Tait has failed to play a game this season due to complications following an operation on his ankle during the off-season.
Leicester's director of rugby Richard Cockerill is frustrated over the length of time it is taking the 27-year-old to recover from what was expected to be a routine procedure - especially as the club is currently experiencing their biggest injury crisis in years.
But he feels that the player, the club and its supporters must remain patient.
"Tait's return has been a long and frustrating process," Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.
"I keep saying that he will be back in two weeks, but that has been going on for a while.
"He is getting there slowly but the LV= Cup will be too soon for him. We are just trying to get rid of some discomfort in his ankle.
"It's a long season and pushing him back too soon would be the wrong thing to do."
