Gloucester have been given a boost with news that prop Rupert Harden joins scrum-half Jimmy Cowan and hooker Huia Edmonds in recovering very well from respective injuries.
Harden had knee surgery late last season but director of rugby Nigel Davies expects to have his tighthead ready for action for their season opener.
"Rupert should be fit for the start of the season, which is obviously great news and he's coming along well," he told The Citizen before explaining Cowan's and Edmonds' improving situations.
"Jimmy's rehab is very positive too, and we expect him to available in the first month of the season.
"Huia should be back in the first two months of the season.
"All three are progressing well and will be back in action in good time.
"It's probably natural for players to want to start a season right from the off, but as ever, the vitally important thing for us is that we don't rush players back before they are ready.
"It will be exciting to see all three return and they are coming along nicely now, which is a good boost."
