as a scarlets and gloucester fan its good that gloucester have gained a good replacement for narrway. scarlets must have expected this if he did get in the england team but they be able to develop another player into that postion!

@Rickety G

Its not a slap in the face for the Scarlets ,its the new England selection policy brought in by the RFU. If you dont play in the AP you dont get picked for England hence his move.I personnally think its a very short sighted policy for the proffesional era and its failed in the past When tried by Wales and Scotland amongst others..As to the welsh [players leaving Wales well as ive said its a proffesional game now so players will go where the money is .Its a short carreer as a rugby player and if you can earn 2-3 times what you can in Wales i dought few people would not take the offer and lets not forget some englishmen are going aswell and a few scots have last year or so.So its not just a welsh problem

Not really. Gloucester offered to buy him out of his contract. The Scarlets could have easily said no, but they didn't.

yes I'd rather have him than Narraway, Narraway is a good runner, but Gloucester need a big, bulky powerful no 8. Combined with Jim Hamilton we are starting to get a bit of grunt, just need 1 more meathead now.

no offence to Gloucester but this is a bit of a kick in the face to Scarlets after they made him the player he is.
