Clement Potrenaud Toulouse v Perpignan

At full-back for Toulouse: Clement Poitrenaud

Perpignan travel to defending Top 14 champions Toulouse on Friday seeking their first victory in the Ville Rose in 31 years!

The Catalans' last win in Toulouse was a 9-0 success back in 1982 but they will fancy their chances of an upset this weekend against an out-of-sorts home side.

Although USAP are the only Top 14 side yet to win on the road this term, they will take heart from their 34-20 win in the last clash between these sides, in Barcelona.

Toulouse coach Guy Novès has openly admitted his team is struggling after their loss to lowly Agen last week and a below-par performance against Biarritz in their last home game. A major step up is required if they are to maintain their unbeaten home record.

The absence of seven French internationals will not help the hosts' cause either but they do welcome back hooker Christopher-Eric Tolofua, centre Gaël Fickou and prop Vasil Kakovin.

Perpignan are looking to bounce back from a narrow loss in Bayonne last week that left them in eighth place, three points short of the play-off spots.

Perpignan lock Romain Taofifenua has been released by the French national side and starts, as does Wales play-maker James Hook.

If that Toulouse side can't win a homer, then the writing is on the wall for this season.
