Perpignan have announced the arrival of scrum-half Sébastien Descons from Racing-Métro as a medical joker.
Descons is set to play fly-half in Perpignan as he heads to the Catalan coast to fill the gap left by a spate of injuries and international call ups.
The 30-year-old, who came up through the ranks at Perpignan before heading to the capital, has struggled for game time at Racing this season, where he has fallen further down the pecking order since the arrival of Mike Phillips.
Descons is likely to go straight into the Perpignan starting XV against his old club when Racing visit Stade Aimé-Giral next weekend. Laurent Magnaval should play scrum-half for the visitors.
