According to one report in France, former Ireland fly-half Ronan O'Gara was offered the head coach job at Fédérale 1 club Pays d'Aix last term.
La Provence say that the 36-year-old had been contacted by the then second tier side but instead opted to join Racing Métro as their kicking coach.
"A friend of mine who lives in Ireland knows the president of Aix-en-Provence," O'Gara told the French paper about the now Fédérale 1 outfit.
"He told me of his plan for me, but before being head coach of a team, I need to garner a lot of experience.
"Perhaps in the future, why not coach Aix? All the doors are open and a lot can happen in rugby. I am perfectly happy at Racing Métro but in time, two years, five years, you never know."
