The saga surrounding Jonathan Sexton's move to Racing-Métro seems to have come to a conclusion with the Irish fly-half finally inking a deal.
According to French daily L'Equipe, Sexton at long last signed a contract with the Parisian club via an intermediary on Tuesday, almost a month after the IRFU announced he would be leaving Leinster.
The report claims that Racing president Jacky Lorenzetti had initially turned down the 27-year-old's requests for 750 000 Euro-deal, with the three-time Heineken Cup-winning pivot finally accepting a contract worth around 600 000 Euros for two seasons, with an option for a third season.
Racing look to be building a formidable team having reportedly already secured the arrival of coaching duo Laurent Labit and LaurentTravers, Wales centre Jamie Roberts, Northampton props Soane Tonga'uiha and Brian Mujati, Perpignan wing Adrien Planté, Castres wing Marc Andreu and French international loose forward Wenceslas Lauret from Biarritz for next season.

Good luck to him. My only issue is that one minute he is Leinster through and through and would give all for Ireland and the next he is chasing the dime! So much for patriotism!

How can you call him greedy are you telling me you wouldnt move employers for more money to help set you up for the rest of your life?????
Yes I want all our best players playing here but its a short career and theyre not getting footballer money so they have to look after themselves, so if someone is prepared to pay him that kind of money then fairplay to him he'll be back in 2 years time and taking him out of his comfort zone in dublin will probably make him a better player

Good luck to Sexton, he has been a great servant to Leinster rugby. He stood behind Conteponi for long enough and when he got is opportunity he grabbed it and help us win 3 Heineken Cups. He's nearly a decade a Leinster rugby, why shouldn't he explore other avenues, it will probably benefit Ireland. Sure look how well Jonny Wilkinson is playing now.
It's a short career rugby players have and they have to take the opportunity to secure their financial future for them and their families. The attitude of some Leinster fans as if he is some sort of traitor is pathetic. And anyway he wanted to stay here, he just got messed around by the IRFU with them offering him less then half the salary and then upping it when they found out they were losing him. He should have been made the best offer first time.
@ciaran1792 The players who play the best rugby in their respective positions should be picked for the International team not because where they play their club rugby.

Hopefully Madigan takes over and forces him out. If he wants to be a mercenary let him. I am a fan of his game and how he plays but I think if u don't play in Ireland you shouldn't play for Ireland. It sends out the wrong message to the other players that if you leave you will still be first choice for international duty. The people who ply their trade here should be picked first.

Theshaw- Maybe it wasn't just the money that tempted him to go. Leinster is a really top club to play for, and Im sure Dublin is a lovely place to live but maybe the idea of playing against teams like Toulouse, Toulon, Clermont, Stade Francais, Montpellier etc. in front of big crowds, was a deciding factor. Not to mention the weather/lifestyle.
