Mathieu Bastareaud taking contact for Toulon

Staying on: Mathieu Bastareaud

Toulon have announced that France international Mathieu Bastareaud has put pen to paper on a new deal that ties him to the Top 14 side until 2016.

On the back of his return to Philippe Saint-Andre's squad, the 24-year-old powerhouse has extended his stay at Felix Mayol by a further three seasons.

Bastareaud has nine caps for his country and came off the bench for Toulon in their recent Heineken Cup Pool 6 defeat to Montpellier.
