Former Wallabies playmaker Matt Giteau has extended his contract for two more years, the French club confirmed on Thursday.
Giteau has fast become a fan favourite in Toulon's star-studded team, having scored four tries in his eight matches (six starts) in the Top 14 this season.
The Australian centre/fly-half had been the target of French rivals Montpellier but was delighted to announce that is stickking with RCT.
"Signed for another 2 yrs in Toulon! Enjoying the challenges of Top 14 & Heineken Cup... Oh & French language!!" Tweeted Giteau.

Hmm - talk of lending a hand to Robbie Deans is revealed as position-taking during contract negotiations.

Let's not talk about sub standard players. Simon Shaw will be at Toulon next year at 39.

good for him, he's only 30 - wonder if he ever meets Andrew Mehrtens - I understand AM is still playing lower division rugby in France, aged 39. If Giteau stays healthy he could have another 10 years in his career - hid French language should be excellent by then.
