My point is not that Hayman was unfairly treated, more that the decisions are all over the place. Bad tackle red card no problem with that. It's just the way they administrate the game at times in France that really makes you wonder. Ah well semi finals approach now and things usually get worse, especially from a refereeing standpoint. I shall be interested to see how many of the semifinal games and the final are refereed by Frances top reffs.

To those who have posted, please explain why you have not posted any comments on the ban on Hayman. If you hads watched that game (I did - in England) - and thought that his foul deserved a red card.

Yes but if you saw the tackle it was deserved, and should have been a red on the spot - as should the tackle on Cian Healy the next day in the H-Cup final - referees chickening out of the big decisions - IRB directive is to start with red and work back if there are mitigating circumstances, not including intent. I'd be interested in what the mitigating circumstances were in either tackle (besides the referee having no bottle).

And only a week ago one player from Toulouse and another from Montpelier get let off for having a major brawl. Strange things happen in France when the playoffs are about to start. Funny disciplinary decisions, hilariously bad refereeing and some very fierce competition. You get the feeling that the establishment is having a go at Toulon, for critisising too much. It doesn't get away from the fact that their is some et up at t'mill
