Phenomenal: Manu Tuilagi

Delirium was the order of the day on Saturday at Twickenham as England defeated New Zealand 38-21 with three second-half tries.
New Zealand responded to a 15-0 defecit with scores from Julian Savea and Kieran Read, before England took charge thanks to three of their own from Brad Barritt, Chris Ashton and Manu Tuilagi in an astonishing second-half performance.
Owen Farrell endured a tumultuous week with being named as one of the best four players in the world, as if the pressure coming for England's most-capped player in Toby Flood wasn't enough. But the young Saracen flourished, showing great poise with the boot as he continued to tally up the points and steered England during the first half.
The All Blacks had been struck down by a vomiting bug during the week and despite Richie McCaw's claim that it would not affect them at Twickenham, New Zealand did not look themselves at all during the first 50 minutes as they were denied possession.
Julian Savea's try changed all of that; stepping his way through three England defenders in the left-hand corner to breathe life into the All Blacks. They flicked the switch and thundered forward from the re-start, sticking to their principles of running rugby and exploiting gaps that they left untouched in the first half.
England though were not simply going to fall down on their knees. Instead they roared back, thumping the All Blacks as the second half wore on. The rarest of breaks from Brad Barritt had the crowd roaring and a one-two with centre partner Tuilagi led to the hosts' first try.
Tuilagi then skipped through a tackle from Dan Carter to burst free, feeding Ashton who sprinted over for the second try. A Tuilagi interception then sealed the match, cruising home and slowing down as he neared the line as if he couldn't believe his luck. England were like a new team - the All Blacks were exhausted.
Whilst Carter missed two shots at goal in the first half, his fellow IRB Player of the Year nominee Farrell was accurate - knocking over two first-half penalties to give England a surprising 6-0 lead to the delight of the home crowd.
An overthrown lineout from Keven Mealamu resulted in another English driving maul before Tuilagi burst into the 22 and with the advantage being played, Farrell dropped back and stretched England's lead to nine.
Another infringement with seconds remaining left Farrell with another chance to strike before half-time, landing the 48 metre kick to leave the score at 12-0. Twickenham had never been more pleasantly surprised.
The run continued after the break with England winning a penalty at the scrum, Farrell again converting to leave New Zealand more than two converted tries behind the hosts.
Those tries duly arrived in two explosive bangs in the left-hand corner; the first coming from Savea then the second coming as the conclusion to some wonderful passing that left Read galloping into the corner before England scorched away. Savea responded with a try with only five minutes left but it was not enough as the All Blacks lost for the first time in 2012.
Man of the match: Two assists and one crucial interception try from Manu Tuilagi make him the player of the day.
Moment of the match: With New Zealand edging back into the match, Brad Barritt's score swung the momentum back in England's favour.
Villain of the match: The mystery bug that struck New Zealand earlier in the week. McCaw might have denied it would have an effect, but the All Blacks looked exhausted.
The scorers:

The 1995 Suzy returned?
England spoiled South Africa's winning streak under Nick Mellet, and now the AB's.
Great work England!!!

Having watched the game I was very impressed by the intensity of the England players. The AB's did not look as though, apart from their two tries, they wanted to be there, RM was completely outplayed. Well done England.
Also watched the women's game against the NZ women's, again NZ were outplayed. Well done England.

Kiwi arogance?!? What are you talking about? Kiwi's take pride in their team like any other nation.... And with good reason. Stats don't lie. The only one's talking up the ab's are the press. Frankly it makes me uncomfortable, and leads to retarded comments like that of Rose Tiger. I don't see any comments from kiwi contributors giving any excuses, and i'm quite okay with them dropping one game in 21. Well done to both sides.
As for your land of the small white brain comment Tiger. If it was such an ordeal there sparky, why did you go in the first place?!? I'll bet dollars to donuts that my countrymen were more welcoming than anything you've experienced in your homeland, because that's the way we are. What do we get in return??? The typical superiority complex englishmen think they have over the colonials. ENGLISH arrogance is what the world wants to obliterate. The best thing you've done for nz is to leave - pity you didn't take a few more of your ex-pats with you.
In the meantime, take a lesson in being magnanimous in defeat. Well played England.

Hate to say it. . . Really hate to say it . . . But England beat nz in every facet of play today. Never seen England do that before... Not even in 2003. If . . .england use this as a launch pad... 2015 could be a very low swinging chariot.

Its a real pity that people like mumbodumbo and rosefinger are harping on about tummy bugs. Takes away from what most believe was a thoroughly deserved England win.

Well just woke up in NZ after deciding not to watch this, boy was I shocked! Just saw the highlights and those england tries were amazing.
Great job England, it seems you were up for it and the Ab's were just flat. This will be good for Abs and some of the younger players to experience a lose for the first time. The run had to end at some point.

Glad to see the only talk of Norovirus is coming from English fans trying to pre-empt excuses... Perhaps it's just them not being used to winning or not quite believing it's possible.
From down under we say fair play... Usually the All Blacks manage to win even on bad days so it takes a fantastic performance to take them down. Yes the gloating from English fans will be hard to take... but they don't get many chances so we should let them make the most of it. We all know at some point we will be throwing it back at them again.
Here's hoping English Rugby uses this as a positive step rather than a peak... The All Blacks will be back next year with revenge on their minds...

Great game by us...we did everything right whilst the ABs looked completely of their game..
To be fair to them their moments of brilliance were on a different level...do much so it was scary but over the game they dropped too many passes a on the wrong places and generally made bad calls throughout.
I thought they looked tired and out on their feet for most of the game but even so we played nearly EVERYTHING right.
Got the tef on our side like NZ normally do, played our offside to the max and shut them down. Farrell was beyond lucky not to get 10 in the bun for a deliberate knock on as our commentators said but these things happen.
Personally I thInk a FANTASTIC win but we shouldn't get carried away with it, we need to say it was against a tired side on the fat end of 11months of rugby and we played purple patch rugby....let recognise that and bloody build on it and not rest on our llaurels and create something.
We are not a match for NZ yet and 8-9x out of 0 they will still beat us....let's turn that around.

RoseTiger...that arrogance you speak of doesn´t come from the AB players...don´t see too many Ashton swan dives or jogging with a smile on the face after an intercept. NZ fans, well that´s a different story for sure (i´m one of them and admit that a comprehensive loss like that will do a lot of people good).
Losing to England hurts AB players more than losing to any other team as the former tends to get a little carried away...fans, press and players alike. Will make the 2013 clash very interesting...
By the way, if NZ was so bad, why did you stay for 3 years¿
