Naka Drotské will not coach the Cheetahs during the Currie Cup as he will be in the UK to gain more coaching insight.
According to the Volksblad website, the Bloemfontein-based union has decided to send Drotské overseas to learn about the latest developments around coaching structures and rugby matters ahead of next year's Super Rugby campaign.
He will be replacvd by Rory Duncan as the Cheetahs' coach during the Currie Cup. Duncan will be assisted by former Springboks Os du Randt and Franco Smith.
Duncan is a former Cheetahs lock, who captained the side when they won the Currie Cup in 2007. He coached the Free State XV in this year's Vodacom Cup tournament.
He was originally earmarked to coach Free State's U21 team later this year, but that role will now be filled by another former Cheetahs player MJ Smith, brother of Franco.
