Back in blue: Zane Kirchner

The Blue Bulls received a boost when all their returning Springboks were declared fit for Saturday's Currie Cup clash with the Golden Lions in Johannesburg.

This means that Zane Kirchner, Francois Hougaard, Mornè Steyn, Arno Botha, Jacques Potgieter, Juandrè Kruger and Flip van der Merwe are all available to play in this crucial fixture.

The Blue Bulls need to win this match to avoid the promotion/relegation match and if other results go their way, could still qualify for the semi-finals.

Kirchner (hip) and Potgieter (stomach muscle strain), will not train on Monday, but will be back on the field on Tuesday, team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.

Louis Fouchè (AC-joint strain), Dewald Potgieter (quad), Bjorn Basson (knee) and Franco Mostert (head knock) are also on the sidelines, but will also return to training on Tuesday.

Coach Pine Pienaar will name his team for the clash on Wednesday.

Realbull says...

Bok players needs rest, ridiculous to think some players must play over 30 gamer per year. Then the public questions the boks players form! Saru should be in charge of the contrated players and unions must have no say over these contracted players. Saru should see that contracted boks only play a handful of super 15 games and le t the contracted players concentrate on international games.
