On the wing: JP Pietersen

JP Pietersen has been named in the Sharks' starting XV for their Currie Cup clash with Free State Cheetahs.

Pietersen comes in for Riaan Viljoen to spark positional shifts in the backs, with Meyer Bosman at fly-half and Paul Jordaan moving to centre.

Charl McLeod's experience at scrum-half is preferred over Cobus Reinach in a straight rotational swap for the game in Bloemfontein.

In the only change to the pack, Steven Sykes is out so Jandre Marais takes his place in the second-row. On the bench Julian Redelinghuys slips out of the team with Allan Dell given an opportunity.

"We know we've come unstuck against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein in the past, but we've also learnt how to get a winning result there in recent times," assistant coach Hugh Reece-Edwards told the Sharks website.

"It's a massive game for both sides and it should be a great clash."
