The Ospreys have completed the signing of Welsh qualified second-row Perry Parker on a loan deal from fellow RaboDirect PRO12 outfit Edinburgh.
The 26-year old lock travelled to the region on Wednesday, taking part in his first training session with his new team-mates on Thursday.
He will add cover to an area where Alun-Wyn Jones and James King are on Wales duty while Ian Evans is banned and Ryan Jones is injured.
Steve Tandy's side face Sale in the LV= Cup on Friday at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field.
"With four of our senior options in the second row unavailable for various reasons, we felt it was prudent to bring in additional cover for a busy period that has a huge bearing on the final placings in the PRO12 and the make-up of the play-offs," Andy Lloyd, Rugby Operations Manager, told the Ospreys' official website on Thursday.
