Glasgow back Sean Maitland is keen for the Warriors to end a run of three home defeats when they entertain Edinburgh at Scotstoun this week.
The Scottish side, who beat Edinburgh 20-16 at Murrayfield in the first leg of the 1872 Cup fixture, have lost to Munster, Dragons and Cardiff Blues.
Despite this they have won all six away matches in the PRO12 to put themselves in a strong position at the turn of the year, sitting in fourth.
"Our form at home hasn't been the best recently so hopefully we'll get a big crowd and a lot of support for the second-leg of the 1872 Cup on Wednesday," Maitland told glasgowwarriors.org.
"It's going to be another tough match. Edinburgh will be dangerous again and so it could be another close game."
On the prospect of lifting the 1872 Cup for a fifth successive year, Maitland added: "We didn't play well in the first half at Murrayfield but to pull it back in the second-half was really good and it was important to grind out the win."
