Does it really matter if he misses the start of the season ??.After all the irish national players very rarely play the bulk of league games anyway

O'connell has no ability to recover at all he is one hit away from serious permanent injury. He should retire before he damages himself.

please don't force yourself to come back too early POC, we've had enough injury retirements without you going too. Take your time, be thankful for this time to recuperate and come back stronger when the body is right, to hell with the calender
